Lady of Shalott

Inspired by the Pre-Raphaelites, the poem by Alfred Lord Tennyson, and a series of Baroque paintings of Judith depicting her in sumptuous yellow dresses against an earthy background, this project is about the relationship between the artist and the art and the impulse to leave the safety of the inner world to engage with nature.
